Finance Recruitment Manager

Job Introduction

We’re looking for a Finance Recruitment Manager to join us and help get to grips with finance recruitment here at Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN). We have a team of 15 in the team currently but are missing a true finance recruitment specialist and it’s the 1 area of our business with the biggest external spend over the past 2 years. Whatever you call it - talent acquisition, attraction or recruitment, it’s essentially about attracting, sourcing and delivering the best talent in the market to your business area.

Our Recruitment Managers are moving away from being seen as transactional to a more rounded, holistic model of recruitment. Identifying and sourcing candidates is just the start for us, we want you to lead on recruitment marketing for your areas, discuss assessment methodologies with hiring managers, conduct full interviews with hiring managers and upskill them where needed and identify new untapped talent pools.

Above all, you need to remember that we work in a fun industry and the ability to showcase both your own and the company’s personalities are paramount to being successful in this role. If you’re the type of person who needs structure and loves process then maybe this role isn’t right for you, however if you are resilient, keen to create your own ways of working and want to join an informal, ever changing industry then read on.

Role Responsibility

You’ll be responsible for the implementation and delivery for DAN’s finance recruitment strategy which will fit into the wider Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) talent acquisition strategy. You’ll need to use your recruitment knowledge, commercial awareness and gravitas to build credibility and confidence in the recruitment approach.

As a Recruitment Manager here at DAN we’d expect you to work with your brand and the wider recruitment team to identify and engage with the best talent in the industry before coming up with innovative ways of doing both (and we don’t just mean what to say in an Inmail either). You’ll look at which platforms they’re most active on, whether they have been shortlisted for any awards and what events are they attending among other things to build up a more rounded view of them to help identify the correct approach. It’s not all about filling the next role but meeting with and pipelining the best talent so we’re front of mind when that person’s ready to make the move.

We want you to be autonomous in the role and work with your client group to help define the role everyone plays in the recruitment process, educate hiring managers on the importance of candidate experience and pull on their personal networks to help identify candidates.

We’re big advocates of utilising new platforms/ channels to promote our brands externally be it the more traditional ones like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn or other social channels such as Snapchat, Pinterest or even Tinder (yes we’ve used it in the recruitment process for Fetch in the U.S https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAD6QNc34vg).

How you’ll behave:

So as the Finance Recruitment Manager we’ve told you some of the things you’ll do, but just as important to us is how you do things. You’ll be a natural team player, we’re a large team and if one brand is struggling we pull on each other to improve things – we’re not an agency so your motivations won’t be financial, it’s about building a good reputation for yourself, the recruitment team and in turn the wider HR team through doing what’s best for Dentsu and Finance. 

Your role won’t begin and end at certain points, it’s for you to take ownership and grow it in the direction that interests you – we’re not micro managers and the onus is therefore on you to tell us what you need. 

Be curious, question things and think outside the box, reverse engineer things and come up with new ways to promote our brands or engage with candidates – we pay you to have an opinion and we’d like to hear it.

What you’ll get from us:
