So, what’s the job?

We are on the hunt for an Account Manager to join our highly innovative Go Compare, NCS & Anki team!

The purpose of the role is to support the Account Director in planning and account handling, manage the Account Executive and monitor their workload, as well as help develop their skill sets.

The Account Manager creates the opportunity for strategy and digital specialists to contribute fully. The account manager is also key when it comes to driving collaboration across DAN and in terms of building strong client relationships on a day to day basis.

About the clients:

GoCompare is a leading & established price comparison website. Competition is fierce with Compare the Market, Money Supermarket and others vying for customers at a time when ensuring you get the best deal is seen as a moral requirement for consumers. We work very closely with the GoCompare team to develop their communications through data usage and industry leading tech solutions ensuring that their budgets work as hard as possible. You will work as part of a robust 5 person planning team responsible for delivering best in class communications planning and deploying their budgets which are focused on AV.

NCS is a UK Government voluntary personal and social development programme for 15–17 year olds. They are a quickly growing brand with large aspirations and a unique set of communications challenges. Each year they need to recruit a growing number of young people on to the programme and to do this we work in a cross agency team with creatives, social, the Government Buying Team and NCS internal departments. We lead strategic channel and communications planning and are currently working to redesign their communications approach and architecture. You will have the opportunity to run this account with support from the Client Director & Digital Director on the account. Working to develop new comms strategies to reach the youth market via key media brands like Snap, Spotify and Facebook.

Anki is a San Francisco based Artificial Intelligence tech brand with a focus on bringing consumer robotics into everyday life, specifically targeting a younger audience. Anki have seen exponential growth since launching across the UK and Europe last year and therefore this represents an exciting long-term opportunity for Carat and Dentsu Aegis Network. We have recently launched their second product, Cozmo the robot, and are targeting being the best-selling tech toy across the UK this Christmas. The role offers a great opportunity for Manager to lead client communications and planning, with support from the Client Director and Digital Strategist. It offers a great experience to work with a progressive, engaged client that is open to experimenting with the newest innovations in media and advertising.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supports Account Director to deliver innovative and creative solutions to client briefs
  • Project manages clients’ communications plans including timelines and budget
  • Manages team and client business to deliver KPIs 
  • Allocates team resources to ensure delivery of data and info required for pitches
  • Leads smaller client accounts
  • Builds strong client relationship as a trusted adviser to client
  • Manages Exec and/or Grads: reviews, feedback, development plans
  • Presents regularly both internally and to clients

Personal Specification:

  • A Comms planning background with the ability to account manage and plan campaigns
  • Client service experience
  • Presentation skills
  • Strong multi-media planning ability
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm and ambition!
