Amplifi M1 Operations Director

Job Introduction

M1 is a new platform created by Merkle and with Dentsu acquiring Merkle in 2017 we have access to this new platform for our clients. 

Working in conjunction with the M1 strategy and analytic team members, the M1 Platform Operations Director will manage data ingestion, audience development and delivery, and usage monitoring/reporting and serve as primary point of contact to assist end users of the M1 Platform.

Role Responsibility

  • Audience Data Management:
    • Assist M1 self-service users to upload audience data in the M1 Platform
    • Track audiences shipped from M1 to ad delivery platforms to monitor for usage within media campaigns
  • Digital Operations:
    • QA of traffic sheets/insertion orders (validating end points, audiences to use, charge rates), sourcing exposure and tracking tags
    • Develop and deliver “analysis-ready” results data related to audience-based media programs
    • Investigate and troubleshoot discrepancy issues between media buying platforms and/or direct publisher to DCM (placement and Floodlight conversion tags)
    • Calculation of M1 fees based on usage and contracted terms for billing, and supplying calculation with supporting detail to Finance for billing
  • Client & Internal Relationships:
    • Work with media agency teams as well as M1 strategy and analytic team members at the onset of a campaign to identify and implement applicable technical requirements
    • Validates access to ad delivery platforms’ reporting solutions and/or communicates standard minimum reporting requirements for results data collection
    • Adheres to and promotes best practices
    • Provides tier 1 support for M1 Platform inquiries and issues
  • Strategic Thinking & Leadership:
    • Recognize potential issues and problems, and know when to appropriately escalate
    • Takes clear ownership of assigned tasks

The Ideal Candidate


  • Experience planning client programs/campaigns within digital and CRM agency
  • Experience working in Social Platforms & DSPs (Facebook Business Manager, Googles DoubleClick Bid Manager, Googles DoubleClick Campaign Manager)
  • MUST be passionate and curious about audience targeting, media placement, and data analytics and how that affects the bottom line
  • Knowledge of or willing to learn current Digital, Publishing, and Technology trends
  • Well versed in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent, proven organizational skills, including strong attention to detail and handling multiple projects simultaneously
