Data and Insights Manager

Job Introduction

This position resides in Amnet, The Dentsu Aegis Programmatic specialist division. Amnet leverages Technology and Data to drive value and efficiencies across Programmatic media practises.

This is a fast growing organisation within Dentsu Aegis, we are gaining tremendous traction within an expanding organisation. The successful candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach to take on the challenge, be focused and passionate about the programmatic ecosystem.

The role is responsible for supporting the decision making based on data analysis and the development of business insights from various data assets. Analysing campaign performance across programmatic campaigns for all clients, using the DSPs and DMP to garner trends and audience insights.

 

You'll work with Amnet, Dentsu Aegis Network’s programmatic trading desk and act as the campaign analytics expert, advising clients and internal teams on future campaign strategy, you'll become skilled in Attribution Analytics, helping clients understand how their channels perform, help assign value to each conversion, develop campaign strategy, guide client Account Managers and help them see channel value. The role will involve the analysis and interpretation of the various data sources to deliver value adding insights

Role Responsibility

  • Analyse DMP and DSP data sets
  • Ability to create pixels and conduct site pixel audits
  • Run tests and analyse data outputs in support of proof of concept exercises
  • Support agency on boarding to data products and services
  • Support remedy of issues found within data sets including identifying issues, solutions and coordinating for resolution
  • Prepare reports, recommendations and general documentation as needed
  • Engage with product, client agency teams and engineers as needed to support data insights
  • Working with the management team to define specific requirements for analysis and reporting
  • Create reports of insights and recommendations at regularly
  • Preparation of campaign focused reviews based on full data analysis and interpretation along with recommendations and proposed actions
  • Be part of a broader company wide effort to drive the development of analytical best practice and adoption throughout the business

The Ideal Candidate

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of business knowledge including basic understanding of media industry
  • Commercial skills
  • SQL and Python skills
  • Ideally have experience of DSPs and DMPs
  • Understanding of programmatic ecosystem
  • High degrees of numeracy & literacy
  • Advanced application of analytics (e.g. marketing analysis, data mining, customer segmentation, campaign measurement)
  • Excellent Media skills and knowledge (on/off line media)
  • Experience with media analysis software and MS Excel

Capabilities

  • Experience in data analysis in a business and ability to translate results into insights
  • Numerate
  • Interest in analytics
  • Very strong communication skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills; and the ability to communicate analytical outputs and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences
