Digital Associate Director

Job Introduction

The current digital team within Carat for Philips comprises of a Digital Director and a Digital Manager (who will report into you).

The role covers different tasks for both the Global and Local client.

On a global level this specifically relates to (but is not limited by) local market management, feeding into digital media strategic guidelines and monitoring multi-market tech/process deployments related to digital media.

For the UK client, you will be working closely with the Carat Comms Planning team (and all related OpCo’s) on all digital media strategy and activations specific to media campaigns.

SALARY – £40,000 to £45,000 per annum plus benefits

Role Responsibility

A Digital Associate Director is a very experienced digital and data practitioner. They are a solid Digital all-rounder with the ability to talk confidently about all aspects of Digital.  They will have refined and finessed their client relationship style and developed into a strong and directional leader for internal and client teams.

The role purpose is to navigate the best DAN solutions and opportunities for clients across all realms of their business in Digital.  Digital Associate Director’s get under the skin of the overall business challenge for the brand and develop the path for Digital along this.  They are consultative with the Client Director but able to set out a distinctive role for Digital and drive this. 

The Digital Associate Director is a highly influential individual with key skills in generating client and inter-agency relationships at a senior level.  The Digital Associate Director is the overarching glue that knits together the DAN Digital solutions for clients.  

  • In conjunction with the Comms planning team in your team you are responsible for delivering digital insights for planning e.g. Performance report analysis, CCS analysis, competitive, etc.  For global clients hubbed from London this will include liaising across DAN local offices.
  • You are responsible for pulling together digital planning insights (from your London team and, for Global clients hubbed from London, Local DAN offices) to inform digital strategy and build digital ecosystems
  • You are responsible for liaison with OpCo’s and local DAN offices (on global clients hubbed from London) to develop activation plans across different digital channels
  • You are responsible for working closely with Account Managers and Associate Directors on Philips to ensure digital insights and activations are integrated within the overall communications’ strategies and ecosystems
  • You are responsible for being the day to day digital contact for your clients; handling projects and acting as a consultant for global and UK projects

The Ideal Candidate

  • Solid understanding of digital marketing communications
  • Full understanding of digital insight and technology tools, adservers (tagging), comscore, reporting tools, iAnalyse (Datorama), verification tools, Google insight tools
  • Knowledge of how to apply CCS (equivalent is TGI) to identify digital insights
  • Working knowledge of digital specialisms, eg e-Commerce, PPC, SEO, Video, Affiliates, Programmatic, Social, Social Listening, Mobile
  • Working knowledge of media and communications planning tools and processes, e.g. CCS Planner, ICP or similar.
  • Ability to discuss and articulate a fluent POV on media partnerships, content distribution platforms, social, search & mobile
  • Ability to be collaborative with other team members, agency partners, media owners and clients
  • Ability to communicate strategic and innovative ideas with clarity and simplicity
  • Data analytics and insight generation required, with ability to frame complex arguments
  • Ability to translate digital strategy into implementation plans
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Strong knowledge of performance digital media and trading desks
