HR Business Partner

Job Introduction

As an HR Business Partner for Dentsu Aegis Network you’ll be part of a centralised HR team of about 65 colleagues, across both centres of excellence and BP roles. The structure we have in place for the HRBP’s is perfect for someone looking to have a mixture of autonomy (you’ll be responsible for your own brands) whilst having the ability to collaborate across both the wider HRBP population and also with colleagues across the wider HR function to help ensure consistency across the network.

You’ll be someone with a proven track record of influencing senior leaders and delivering projects in a fast paced and creative environment to help us achieve our ambitious commercial goals, whilst making a real contribution to creating a culture where the best, brightest and most engaged people can benefit from the fantastic career opportunities across the network.

We need someone who is able to balance the demands of our senior leaders, being a commercially aware partner, but also having the gravitas and credibility to challenge and innovate, and someone who can champion change, rather than someone who prefers the status quo, and is a blocker to change.

Role Responsibility

As an HR Business Partner you’ll have to use your experience of both operational and strategic HR to deliver the communication, implementation and then measurement of key people initiatives and projects to help create a high performance culture. You will enjoy coaching, influencing and constructively challenge your key stakeholders at the relevant time which will help you build trusting and credible business relationships. These stakeholders will also be your HR colleagues in the centres of excellence as well as in brand from first time line managers right up to MD’s and CEO’s. 

We’ve accepted a high attrition rate for too long now and we’d like to do someone about it, after all the commercial impact of making even a 1% or 2% reduction in it can be huge. Engagement, retention and mobility projects will all be key drivers for our business over the next couple of years.  You will be comfortable with ambiguity, complex business models, and using metrics to demonstrate value and to inform decisions.

You’ll work alongside a strong HR Advisor team, you will get the support you’ll need to balance complex employee relations casework such as redundancy, organisational change etc with the pro activity to find out what’s happening in our brands and look for synergies across other areas to identify the most pressing issues that need addressing that are going to really ‘turn the dial’. We’ll also want you to help mentor and guide the Advisors on any relevant matters that come up.

You’ll have a wider BP population of around 15 to work closely with and help each other out when needed but you’ll also be in a position to help the wider HR population understand what’s happening out in the business too so collaboration is very important to us.

The Ideal Candidate

You will need to use the knowledge you’ll have acquired around the local labour laws and the ability to advise on how best to apply these to your brands on a case by case basis while working with the managers and key stakeholders to influence and engage them in those decisions that need making.

If you have worked across the full HR spectrum (recruitment, talent and development, reward, benefits and performance management this will stand you in good stead as you’ll need to work with all centres of excellence to help deliver relevant projects/ messages.

We can’t emphasise enough it’s as much about attitude as ability, be brave, be curious and don’t be afraid to allow yourself to fail (as long as you learn from it) and you’ll be a success in the role. We want someone who wants to naturally grow your influence and reputation and get pulled into plenty more things across the network rather than wait to be told what to do.
