Senior Director, Global Media Partnerships (Maternity Cover)

Amplifi is the media investment arm of The Dentsu Aegis Network. Consisting four divisions: Investment, Global Media Partnerships, AMNET and The Storylab. We are a 21st century trading organisation built on 20th century principles. 

The team is tasked with providing thought leadership, best practice, accountability and global growth across TV, Digital, Outdoor, Print and Radio.  The Amplifi goal is simple, to harness technology, insight and creative thinking to help all members of the DAN operating model identify and deliver business outcomes for ourselves, our clients and partners. We will do this by re-inventing our relationship with the supply side.

As a key function of Amplifi, our Global Media Partnerships proposition is at the heart of some of the biggest challenges and opportunities we are experiencing as a communications business.  Our GMP team is dedicated to delivering transformational value to the DAN network through best in class strategic media partnerships, selecting partners who are receptive to innovative projects and are willing to commit resource.

With these partners, we leverage our global investment to create emerging opportunities with senior product leads aiming for 10x innovation to build scaled, tangible media capabilities and solutions for our clients. We focus on what will make the biggest tangible difference to our clients' business, striving to drive transformation at scale and at speed within a 90-day lockdown.

Role Responsibility

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to develop the Global Media Partnerships agenda by redefining value through transformation.  As the role of Global Media Partnerships become increasingly critical, the Senior Global Media Partnerships Director is responsible for driving transformation across four key areas: clients, brands, markets and partners.

The focus of the role is driving strategy and productizing GMP to drive tangible and scalable value across these four pillars. In addition, the role will report into the Head of Global Media Partnerships, to support and collaborate on the GMP Innovation Agenda. This will involve driving and scaling innovation projects with established networks and markets and aligning partner strategy to support core innovation areas.

Key accountabilities

•Thought leadership: Develop and distribute consolidated thinking from across the network and partners to advance Dentsu Aegis Network thinking in the Digital Economy;

•Brand to Brand Collaboration: Establish GMP network at senior leadership level within brands and activate and accelerate GMP products through the network;

•Commercial alignment: Partner with commercial leadership to redefine the value of GMP strategy and innovation, by establishing tangible value at client and local level;

•Regional networks: Strengthen relevance and application of GMP through establishment and continued engagement with regional GMP communities such as APAC, EMEA and Dentsu Japan;

•Operationalise and systemetise GMP engagement: Ensure consistent approach across all brands to both transformational agency & client partnership engagement.

•Partner collaboration and alignment: Align partner collaboration and contribution to enable transformation within Dentsu Aegis Network and accelerate progression to success in the digital economy.

•Team management: Develop high performing, cross-disciplined, senior team and enable collaboration across GMP community globally

•Support GMP Innovation Agenda: Leverage established networks to further drive and scale the core GMP innovation projects: Mobile to Mobility; Data Driven Creativity: AI and Machine Learning; eCommerce.
